Seems like there was a critical game-breaking bug that was left out of the most recent bugfix. There were only a couple things that needed to be addressed but I will be pinning this build as the latest

Bugs
Sterminates would not be available randomly. Will still keep a lookout for this one!

NPC quests only become available upon reaching day 25

Reduced the cooldown of Kate’s bakery

Players now get +10 Mood upon completing an NPC quest
Inspect sterminate now has a chance of gaining more than 1 fragment! (1, 2, or 3)

Bugs
Some players would get stuck on a black screen which made it impossible to proceed
The 2nd quota’s mutation would be missing intermittently. Found to be a race condition

Optimizations
Reduced the amount of renders for Claire’s sprite in the clinic caused by a shader (Moderate boost)
Removed old error handling that is not applicable
Made it so that most system messages are available when using “Dev mode”

New Class: Masochist & The “Stress” Mechanic
The new Science-based Masochist class brings a high-risk, high-reward playstyle. Managing your Stress gauge is the key playstyle.
New Sterminates: Overthink, Atone (gains +1 Stress if a patient finishes), and Punish.
Stress Management: You can now gain Stress whenever Mood is lost. Every point of Stress grants a +2% chance to hit a “Weak Spot” and a +5% chance to trigger “Eureka!” (boosting research by +1 tier). Succeeding in an experiment relieves 5 Stress.
Therapist Questline: I’ve added new conditions and a class choice for Masochist and Harlot.

Clinic Upgrades
Weak & Sweet Spots: Landing a “Weak Spot” (Science-based) deals 2x endurance damage, while a “Sweet Spot” (Stress-based) delivers a massive 4x multiplier, complete with special damage number effects.

Mini-bosses
New Mini-Boss Portraits: New pixel art portraits for Lory, Wiliford, and Bathory! The mini-boss system will be getting more love in the next update!

NPC Quests
NPC Quests: The quest system is fully live! You can now take on up to 3 active quests at a time. For now, the NPCs are simply flagged by a red color but there will be visual improvement of this in the coming updates.

Quality of Life Updates
Players do not have to treat patients every day now
Notifications at home to let players know of optional events or when they must go into the clinic.

Game Balance
Patient scaling has been replaced with new algorithm. What that scales partially with the number of days. More details to come.
Multipliers across all moves and sterminates have been adjusted for a smoother gameplay curve.

An option in the Pause menu (a layer in the Town map layout) that players are able to use to adjust stats/parameters/etc. which will be accessible after players gain access to sterminates/mutations (Day 24)

Clinic: Quota: Autosave not set for beginning of Quota #4.
Shop: Kate and Claire dialogue: Portraits were set incorrectly

Sterminate: Squat. Fixed. Was set to the incorrect mutation. Now will be learned after getting ROCK_STEADY to Tier 4 Requirements
Sterminate: Pleasure. Fixed. ‘Patients seen:’ is always ‘3’, no matter the actual amount of patients seen, either by it being more using pleasure or it being a special patient.

Day 6: Dialogue grammar.
Day 53: Miniboss Tutorial During the tutorial for special patients it shows the image of a random patient and not Lory’s. Note: For now, I have left the finish animation out. Will consider putting it in after I have done planning for future updates. Pushed back

Clinic: Smegma:

• When using ‘calm down’ on a patient with smegma the first time, the smegma sprite is layered on top of Claire’s sprite.
  • Clean has the same problem.
    • Smega loads in before the dick when u start the treatment of patients.

Skip to End Button: Skip to end of content button. When players press this, they are fast-forwarded to the end of content and into the sandbox mode.

  • Delay in the artwork caused this one to be pushed back D: Although the animation has been finished, it’s cutting a bit close to put this in the current update. It will be in the next update as I didn’t want to push this one back any further. Besides the fact that Claire is naked, it’s not an NSFW sterminate so don’t be too bummed!
• Clinic: Wall Cum Stains
  • Because “Snacks!” was pushed back, I decided to implement cum stains in the clinic instead! There will be increasing amounts of cum stains on the wall based on the number of patients that Claire can make finish.
• Aura effects on certain moves (It’s 2026, you just gotta have auras…)
  • Implemented an “Aura system” that can be applied to sterminates/actions. The first one that has one is the Harlot’s “Pleasure” sterminate

  • Added a small indicator on the Endurance bar to show when they’ll finish.
• General refactoring for previous systems
  • Dialogue, Sounds, Pause Menu

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where sometimes players couldn’t accumulate mutation fragments for Quest #2.
• Fixed a bug where the “Tolerance” stat wasn’t displaying properly in the load menu of the start screen.
