This update also contains a new story and other features while I’m only partly up to my usual monthly deadline. I’m putting this version beforehand so people can test the web version.
There is also a new benefit! Which will be moved later to tier 2.
Meanwhile, another version and a bit more spicy event should arrive close to my usual monthly deadline (about 2 weeks)!
Web was one of the features that was requested the most throughout the development.
A web version is a revelation for this genre. Why?
Games in this genre aka sandbox visual novels with many renders are rare.
Most of them are made in renpy. While you can put a game like that on a web browser, it comes with its limitations.
ITCH io allows a 500MB total size limit. (GOSA with 2500~ renders is far beyond this limit size)
WebGL game memory usage limit is 2GB.
Games that are made by default include everything in the build.
Game developers don’t seem to have too many choices because of this.
One way is to reduce the amount of renders to fit within the required hosting size and total memory size.
This means that 99% percent of games that you can play in the browser will be in the style of static character images with few expressions and maybe a few backgrounds only. That’s the usual classic and most popular type of visual novel.
The other way is to sacrifice web gl in general.
GOSA is not that kind of game and it’s moving past the player-known limit of this genre!
I want to focus on delivering a game that’s tight in a story with many interacting events and a render quantity amount. The same goes for feature quality, QOL, and development style. At the end making the game something that I can be proud of. Thankfully a lot of you have been good to me with the support so the game is coming along nicely! ❤
How are you doing this?
I’m using custom code and hosting for the renders itself.
This unusual solution, allows me to put a web gl build that is way smaller since the renders are being pulled on demand!
It also omits the total memory because only the needed renders are kept in memory!
Why is web gl a trial version?
It’s currently available for supporters because I pay for hosting. I cannot estimate the total cost without trying it out.
This is why you can only play in the browser for free up to certain spots in the story.
Web-version FAQ:
- I cannot access the game page at all
It may be temporarily turned off. You can ask the developer for info on Discord.
- My game doesn’t launch
Try chrome or firefox. Another browser may not fully support WebGL technology.
- My game still doesn’t launch
Please describe the problem to the developer on Discord.
- Can I export my save from webGL?
Yes. Shift-click the save to download it. It’s recommended to export the save after every playthrough.
- Can I export my save from webGL after the trial?
Yes. Through the end screen button with web gl trial information during the story or through the usual save load menu from the main menu.
- Can I import my save to webGL?
Yes. In Webgl it’s locked for supporters only for experimental reasons.
- I see ‘Click to continue’ with a black background on startup.

- Why do I sometimes see black backgrounds when continuing?
This can occur due to a few issues:
- You rate limited because you move through very fast. (this should rarely occur)
- Your hard limited, this limit is high and temporary
- You lost your network connection.
- You’re using the skip button, where renders get skipped. ( It returns to normal on the next background fetched)
Known web issues:
- The Arc browser doesn’t work. Edge will not be tested.
This version general updates notes:
- Story continuation! There is a very unusual character waiting for you.
- You can now set the name of the player!
- Auto mode is back on the menu!
- New benefit for patrons. Anonymous confessions! This uses the same name input window so it was easy to implement this as a Patreon benefit!
This is only available in tier 1 for a limited time and will be moved to tier 2. - Localization for this update is temporarily delayed.
- Save import and export.
- Fix if one of the saves is corrupted which previously ignored loading others. This was usually reported on auto-save during sleep and appeared as ‘Dialogue occupied’.
- Fix when save was corrupting on a non-invariant calendar.

- Dalia is now on an experimental schedule when looking through the window. The schedule’s activity is partly randomized.

- Some of the buttons were not disappearing from the screen on time possibly leading to some soft locks.
- Backgrounds should be more reliable on delivery making sure it can be delivered with other sources. They were also optimized and cleaned some of the small memory leaks created during their animation. This was needed so much and took more time than I expected this month… This was probably the most complicated code I had to write in my programming career…I almost went bald completely doing this… If you notice any weird behaviors with backgrounds please let me know quickly in dms.

- The inventory is improved api for actions making clear distinctions of related components which also means they close together as expected. This was also reported by agelakute2

This is a huge story update and with this, the game has now passed 2k renders in total! ✨
This update has 25k words, hentai animations (with visual pregnancy support), an optional punishment route in the hut for people supporting the game (temporarily put for tier 1), and quite a bit of choice, so keep in mind that you can always play the story twice to see some other outcomes.
Event requirement:
- Were sightseeing with Dalia
- Talked with both Dalia and Kanae about the reason for MC’s jail time.
- Completed Cure for Emilly.
- Talked with Emilly about why she was selling trash.
- During daytime.
The event starts automatically when moving through the town.
Other things:
- Fix for stuck at the end of Manako in the rain event.
- Fix the black background at the start of Dalia asking for release.
- There is a new text animation for freezing characters and screaming.
- Brings a few new background animations for better storytelling ie. side shaking and you will see a ‘run’ ^^.

- Undo save is now faster as it doesn’t wait for the current background to show.
- Undo now awaits any save finish to prevent undo cancelation stacking.

- Manako slaps after a rain event now only after you ask her for a spicy time before.
- Internal background timeout cancels itself to prevent any hard locking background in case there is an error with its preparation. This is part of a rare bug where the device didn’t support a background and it blocked the entire queue.

- Now you can cancel fishing while waiting for the hook stage. This removes the confusion when the user holds the button at this stage and it carries over to the next stage.
- Time fix when the internal clock was not setting the final time on pass time end, Therefore the passing time to an hour didn’t trigger because the time hour was the same as previous. I.e. loop to 16, but the last ticking time ended at 15:59. Therefore passing time to 15 would not trigger since it is already 15.
- Time UI fix when sleeping. It no longer starts from the start near the end of the animation.
- The time cycle shows when crossing the day cycle.
- Adding automatic saving when entering the rented room as a backup option ensures that you won’t get fucked when an unknown bug will occur. In general, taking saves when roaming is more stable.
- Adding a check and player information in case the folder is in a path with wrong symbols like the Hidden symbol. This is a bug in Unity’s addressables package and I unfortunately cannot fix it! Just extract it to another location i.e. Desktop or D;/GOSA. This error appeared as the main menu with a static background and where you cannot start a new game. Thanks @itssangdude @kuruizaq and a few other people having a problem with this.
- Adding a message directly button for a reporter.
- Fixing locale selection bug which may have been the reason for rare crashes on exit.
- Changed default typewriter animation appearance, which doesn’t scale the letters, but fades them. Remember you can turn off text animation in settings. The animation is also a bit faster.

If you experienced blue animations or were stuck at the kanae h-scene, it is fixed in 0.59.
Until then it’s safer to save in the roaming mode for compatibility purposes.

Your lewd time with Kanae leads to fulfilling the promise of taking her to the place she is so excited about! Several new animations for the new event! - Story localization.
Make sure to travel at least once to another location, and it will migrate the story automatically to support localization and the newly put story! Ex. Move to the next street in the town. The story is now translated and scripts are created to only enable proofreading-mostly without translators needing to translate every single sentence. If you wish to help with translation in your native language you can report a particular screen with a bug reporter or DM me for better interface access. - Meeting screen name correct font.

This is to ensure it will appear less repeatable and more alive! Winter is coming and you find a magical item. It teleports you to a new chilly place. You find a use for it with Kanae… - Removed a .1 sec frame gap when the bg’s are enqueued after each other.
- Optimizing load game state restore by about 30%.
- An internal ability to enqueue a removing background. Which was needed for the new story part.
- Fix During the 2-second period where the story encounters a roaming breakpoint and the game is quickly loaded, it no longer disables tapping place preventing continuation hard-lock with cursor and android.
- Optimizing slot loading ignoring caching for history slots. Depending on how much you played 1 minute of playing will help at 1% yet if you have a lot of history saves (which are taken every player action) it can speed up even by 200%+ when opening the saving menu.
- Reducing main menu entry spike lag by checking if save slots exist only on specific save types.
- Fix the currency bug having the wrong offset.
- Clickable places now finish animation transitions and do not block others bg’s.

This was a quicker update than usual, but acts as a follow-up for the last event. At the same time brings a lot of stuff.

- Currency system. Allowing to handle money for buying, selling, and accessing stories.
Currency changes are also displayed as notifications. - Stories can now be locked behind in the game’s gold making the gameplay purposeful.
- Choices have text parsers that color text or modify it to make it easier to tell if there is a requirement for accessing those choices. I.e. If there is a story that requires price it will display it on green if you have this amount of gold.
- Inventory and item system.
Item changes also display as notifications. - A global unlockable system that unlocks systems little by little. Meaning i.e. inventory will not show at the start of the story only after the first item is received.
- All those features required a lot of API changes, which may be invisible to the player. I.e. Story required interaction with the inventory system and unlockable databases. Saving of the unlockable, inventory. Views refresh after unlocking.
- Cylia’s scene on forest arrival now has the new Sakura petals particles present.
- Kanae’s color was adjusted to be lighter, and more readable. There will be an option soon to change the dialogue color to white and not color it by character.
- To support the changes saving system was changed. Previous saves are incompatible.

Something snuck past the town’s security. As someone gets wounded you embark on an adventure to find a cure. How much fucked are you?
This update literally doubles the story of the game. Contains 25 new custom animations.
- New bonus scenes were added and few limited spots to claim them!
- New gallery scenes were added!
- New interaction mode for scenes. Ability to click parts to interact with them and switch cameras.
- New Time Clock feature supporting day and night cycle.
- Time clock now is used in stories without cluttering UI by showing it only in specific spots and auto-hiding it on completion.
- Backgrounds changes:
- Internal. The ability to self-require backgrounds makes the renders more alive than any other KK game. This is probably my favorite new feature. It creates simple animations just with two renders which adds quite a touch to the story.
- Internal. Ability to create multi-part backgrounds (which can be at the same time simple sprites or a video) that play them at the same time. I don’t think I’ve seen any visual novel to support this.
- Ability to play sfx on shown. Therefore animations have even more life. Three queued backgrounds. When the third is played only then the sfx plays.
- Shake background modifier. Injected also in previous parts of the story. Injecting the new modifier in several places in an already existing story. I.e. during falling in Cylia’s meeting.
- New Sakura petals particle effect background. You will notice it during the new story.
- Internal. In case of no existing background suppressing error.
- Internal. Optimizing background, reducing transition state checking from every frame update to callbacks.
- Also prewarming transition. Reducing the time between presetting them, syncing them between layers making transitions appear at similar times.
- Releasing assets handles the destruction of the object, hugely reducing memory usage.

- Scene system changes:
- The main scene is shown to the player after it has been uncovered. This prevents a few frames from showing something changing on screen that doesn’t make sense to the player.

- Preferences window The preferences window displays when there is a new preference added. The preferences are stored in the meta profile.
The button in the menu used previously to open and close patrons is now in use for opening preferences. - Save system changes:
- Right-click quick access to manual saves.
- MANUAL save types now hold position index (like renpy). Otherwise, it gets sorted by date. This way both data organization and favorites overwrite is possible.

- The windows have been internally refactored, allowing the animation to be stopped midway during the transition from closed to open.

- There is no need to start a new game, old saves should work!

- Saves cache in the background, which eliminates the need to load them a second time while previewing. Slots animate on entry.
